What is Unemployment Insurance Technology Enhancement (UITE)?

The Unemployment Insurance Technology Enhancement (UITE) project is a multi-year initiative focused on delivering a transformational unemployment insurance experience to businesses and workers of Kansas.

What Employers Can Expect

  • Employer Services portal will be unavailable starting Nov. 13, 2024 at 5 p.m. and will reopen Nov. 19, 2024 at 8 a.m.
  • On Nov. 19, 2024, a new online account setup will be available. All employers will be required to create a username and password to access the updated portal. You may use your old username/email address.
  • Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) do not need to create a new username and password. Your existing credentials will be migrated over.
  • Employers will keep their active UI account number, but going forward it will be in a 10-digit format, with one 0 (zero) at the beginning and three 0 (zeroes) at the end.
  • Employers are encouraged to establish an online account even if you work with a TPA. This will ensure you always have access to correspondence and account information.
  • Multiple authorized users can be added as part of the Unemployment Services for Employers registration process.
