Kansas lawmakers increased the unemployment benefit weeks from a maximum total benefit amount of up to 16 weeks to up to 26 weeks for those who initially filed for benefits beginning January 1, 2020 or after. If your benefit year began in 2019, you will not be eligible for up to 26 weeks, only up to 16 weeks.
