The Safety and Health Conference is one of the official resources from the Division of Industrial Safety and Health for emergency personnel, employers, employees, safety professionals and others to go to for training. The conference benefits all Private Industry (companies), Cities, Counties, School Districts and State Agencies. The four-day event begins with a two-day conference featuring the latest in regulations, changes in laws and upcoming rules. Additionally, the conference features highly anticipated exhibitors that display the latest in safety and health equipment and technology. The conference concludes with two-days of Professional Development Classes (PDC) in the 10-Hour OSHA Outreach Training for General Industry and Construction. Safety and Health Objectives are established for select conference sessions. Continuing Education is obtainable on a self-submittal basis.
The Annual Safety and Health Conference is funded by sponsor contributions, exhibitor and attendee fees. It is not supported by taxpayer dollars.

Requests for refund must be received in writing and include a Federal Employer Identification number (if business) or a Social Security number (if individual). Individuals requesting refund must submit their request by mail only, postmarked by September 1.
Businesses requesting a refund can submit by email to: Dena.Ackors@ks.gov by 4 p.m. September 1. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.

NOTE: To receive a reduced rate, mailed registrations must be postmarked by September 23.
Registration Alert – Save 10 percent when registering three or more persons at the same time. This offer is valid only if all registrations are mailed together and payment is made using one form of payment.
All reasonable attempts will be made to accommodate special needs. Persons with special needs are encouraged to report them at the time of registration to Dena.Ackors@ks.gov.
Helpers to persons with special needs are not required to register and can take part in all conference activities except the seated luncheons. Helpers can purchase extra lunch tickets in advance at $25 each by contacting Dena.Ackors@ks.gov or purchase the tickets on site at the registration desk.

Charity Golf Tournament
Proceeds will be earmarked for programs in Kansas provided by the Safety and Health council of Western Missouri and Kansas. The SHC is a non-profit education and outreach organization offering defensive driving courses, child car seat safety courses and donations of car seats to low-income families, occupational training, and professional safety consultation.
