Accident Prevention Program

 

By state law K.S.A. 44-5,104, insurance companies and group-funded self-insurance plans providing Workers Compensation coverage to employers in Kansas are required to provide certain safety services to those they insure.

Accident Prevention Notice for Employers: If your Workers Compensation carrier denied you assistance with your health and safety program, please contact the Accident Prevention Administrator.

Accident Prevention Notice for Insurance Companies and Group-Funded Self-Insurance Plans: Insurance companies and group-funded selfinsurance plans licensed to write Workers Compensation coverage in Kansas must file the Year-end Accident Prevention Report (K-ISH 28) below with the Kansas Department of Labor annually after the close of the state fiscal year. The period to be covered by the report is from July 1 of the previous year through June 30 of the current year. This report must be received between July 1 and August 31, unless an extension has been requested and granted.
