The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes small business employers who have used the safety consultation program services and operate exemplary safety and health programs. Acceptance of your worksite into SHARP is an achievement of status that singles you out among your business peers as a model for worksite safety and health.
Benefits of Participation
A business should participate in SHARP for the following reasons:
Reduction to your workers compensation premiums, improved safety and health of your employees, improvement in employee morale and increased productivity.
Businesses who successfully complete the requirements for SHARP will receive an exemption from OSHA's General Schedule Inspections.
