By state law K.S.A. 44-5,104, insurance companies and group-funded self-insurance plans providing Workers Compensation coverage to employers in Kansas are required to provide certain safety services to those they insure.
If you are a public or private sector EMPLOYER who believes their insurance carrier or group-funded self-insurance plan has not provided accident prevention services, you may file a complaint with the Kansas Department of Labor.

If your Workers Compensation carrier denied you assistance with your health and safety program, please contact the Accident Prevention Administrator.
Accident Prevention Notice for Insurance Companies and Group-Funded Self-Insurance Plans:
Insurance companies and group-funded self-insurance plans licensed to write Workers Compensation coverage in Kansas must file the Year-end Accident Prevention Report (K-ISH 28) below with the Kansas Department of Labor annually after the close of the state fiscal year. The period to be covered by the report is from July 1 of the previous year through June 30 of the current year. This report must be received between July 1 and August 31, unless an extension has been requested and granted.
